Elizabeth Jurado was born in the Bronx and raised in New York City. The artist currently lives in Wilton Manors, Florida. Elizabeth had her first Solo exhibition in August of 2005 sponsored by ArtsUnited of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Elizabeth is a late bloomer to painting and is largely self-taught in acrylic painting. Artist won “Best in Category” at the 45th Hortt competition for print making for her woodcut print “Madera”, and recently received a “Judges Recognition” award from the Broward Art Guild’s “Works on Paper” Exhibition and second place People’s Choice Award at the “Salon des Refuse” for “Negro Guerillero” an acrylic painting.
